The UVEX Sportstyle Safety Glasses in Clear/Black are photochromatic safety spectacles for crews moving between indoor and outdoor work all day. The clear lens sits at 70% VLT, cat 1 in its faded state, then darkens to 32% VLT, cat 2 in bright sun. Against the tinted colours in the range, this one starts clear, so you can wear it in a workshop or underground and still be covered when you step out.
Switching takes about 10 seconds to darken and 30 seconds to fade back. The outer lens surface is scratch resistant, the inside is anti-fog, and the lens carries UV 400 protection. Light on the face with a sporty frame, they suit construction, mining, councils, utilities and outdoor work. Certified to AS/NZS 1337.1, marking AS/NZS1337/1 - X I 1-2.
