The 3M Unisafe Vented TA570 Safety Helmet is a general industrial hard hat built for crews working long days in the heat. Crown cooling vents let air move across the head, which makes a difference on a site with no shade. The shell is injection moulded ABS and the whole helmet weighs 260 g, so it sits light on the neck through a full shift. This one comes in white.
Inside is a harness on 25mm webbing with an adjustment range of 50 to 66 cm, so it suits most head sizes and can be shared across a gang if needed. It is rated for shock absorption, resistance to penetration, lateral stiffness, ignition by flame and electrical insulation. Certified to AS/NZS 1801:1997 Type 1 ABS, making it a Type 1 general industrial safety helmet rather than a high temperature or bushfire model.
