About this product
The Beaver Jumbo Round Slings 20t x 2m is a heavy lift round sling for shifting big loads without marking them up. The 20t working load limit puts it in serious crane and mine site territory, while the short 2m length keeps the headroom loss down when you are lifting under a hook block in tight space. It is a continuous loop of polyester yarn inside a polyester or nylon sleeve, so it stays light in the hand and flexible in every direction compared to chain.
The sleeve holds the internal yarn filaments in parallel and shields them from damage. Where the sling wraps the load, the core fibres spread out and give broad, cushioned support that reduces slipping. Polyester has low stretch, which helps stop load bounce when hoisting heavy weights. Manufactured to AS 4497.1, with a test certificate available on request.
Common questions
- what is the WLL of a Beaver 20t round sling
- This sling has a working load limit of 20t in a straight vertical lift. Configuration and rigging angles affect capacity, so check your rigging plan.
- what are Beaver round slings made of
- A continuous loop of polyester yarn encased in a polyester or nylon sleeve. The sleeve keeps the internal filaments parallel and protected.
- round sling vs chain sling for heavy lifts
- A round sling is far lighter and flexible in multiple directions, so it is quicker to handle and less likely to damage the load. The polyester core also has low stretch, which reduces load bounce on heavy hoists.
