About this product
The Beaver Jumbo Round Slings 15t x 6m is a heavy capacity polyester round sling for lifting big loads without marking them. The 15t working load limit puts it in the serious end of the range, and the 6m length gives you enough reach for deep chokes, tall loads or wide basket hitches on plant and structural steel. It stays light and flexible for the rating, so one or two people can shift it around a load quickly.
Construction is a continuous loop of polyester yarn inside a woven sleeve that keeps the load bearing filaments parallel and protected. The core spreads where it meets the load, which broadens the bearing surface, cushions the surface and cuts down on slipping. Polyester also has low stretch, so you get less load bounce when hoisting heavy weights. Manufactured to AS 4497.1, with a test certificate available on request.
Common questions
- what is the WLL of a beaver 15t round sling
- This sling has a working load limit of 15t. Hitch type and sling angle change the safe capacity, so rate the lift accordingly.
- what are beaver jumbo round slings made of
- A continuous loop of polyester yarn encased in a polyester or nylon fabric sleeve that keeps the internal yarn rows parallel and protected.
- why use a round sling instead of a chain sling
- Round slings are lighter, flexible in multiple directions and far kinder to the load surface. The spreading yarn core cushions the load and reduces slipping, where chain would mark it.
