About this product
The Sundstrom Prefilter (SR221) is the first line of defence in front of your main filter, catching the coarse dust before it reaches the cartridge. It should always be fitted when you are running particle, gas or combined filters, which covers most site and workshop setups. It sits in the filter holder and does the rough work so the expensive filter underneath keeps working.
Larger particles are what kill a main filter early, loading it up and making breathing harder than it needs to be. The SR221 takes that load instead, so you swap the cheap part more often and the cartridge lasts its proper life. Handy for concrete cutting, grinding and general dusty work where the air is full of visible grit. Check it when you check your mask and replace it once it looks loaded.
