About this product
The Mongoose D-Lite Strop Only 350t is a replacement fibre strop for the D-Lite system, built for the heaviest lifts in the range at 350t MBL. It uses heat-treated steel components and an abrasion-resistant synthetic crown, so the wear point takes the punishment instead of the fibre body.
At 8.8kg net, it handles very differently to a steel shackle of similar capacity, roughly half the weight, which makes rigging up at height or over the side of a load a lot less of a fight. The fibre body won't corrode or rust, and there is a low risk of explosive disintegration if things go wrong. This is the strop on its own, not a complete assembly. Longer lengths can be arranged on request.
Common questions

- how much does a Mongoose D-Lite 350t strop weigh
- Net weight is 8.8kg, around 50% lighter than conventional steel shackles of comparable strength.
- is the Mongoose D-Lite 350t a complete shackle or just the strop
- This is the fibre strop replacement only. The heat-treated steel components and synthetic crown are part of the D-Lite design, but you are buying the strop on its own.
