About this product
The Mongoose D-Lite Shackle 275t is a fibre-crown recovery shackle for heavy vehicle towing, salvage and snatch work where a steel bow shackle is too heavy to handle safely. This is the top of the five-size range, with a 275t minimum breaking load and a 630mm overall length, yet it weighs just 18.6kg. That is roughly half the weight of a conventional steel shackle of similar strength, and it drops rather than flies if something lets go.
The hydrophobic fibre crown holds its strength around tight radius bends, so it works over recovery eyes and lugs that would damage wire. High tensile steel alloy pins suit most OEM recovery points, and the integrated locking end cap holds the assembly together with a 10 degree off-centre loading limit. With a 108mm A dimension, 330mm C and 70mm pin sizing, it goes straight in as a replacement for the steel shackle your crew is already running.
