About this product
The Mongoose D-Lite Shackle 125t is a lightweight recovery shackle for heavy vehicle towing, salvage and snatch work where a conventional steel shackle is too heavy or too dangerous. At 125t MBL and 7.40kg, it is the heaviest rated size in the D-Lite range, sitting around 50% lighter than a steel shackle of similar strength. The hydrophobic fibre crown holds its strength around tight radius bends, so it works on recovery points that would chew into a rigid bow.
Body dimensions run 330mm long and 237mm across, with a 77mm A measurement and a 50mm pin span, plus 94mm, 60mm and 42mm sections through the crown and cap. High tensile steel alloy pins suit most OEM recovery points, and the integrated locking end cap allows up to 10 degrees off-centre loading. If the fibre lets go, it does not disintegrate the way steel can, which is why crews use it as a direct swap for conventional shackles.
