The Beaver Heavy-Duty Webbing Protective Sleeve 120mm slips over your sling to take the wear that would otherwise chew through the webbing. This size suits a 120mm sling diameter, which puts it with 4t flat slings and 5t round slings. Heavy duty polyester construction handles high abrasion work, so sharp edges and rough steel hit the sleeve first instead of the load-bearing fibres.
Sleeves are made to custom lengths, and you can specify sewn or velcro depending on whether it stays put on the one sling or gets moved around the crew. Damaged webbing gets a sling condemned quickly, so a sleeve on the contact point is cheap insurance. Check it along with the sling before each lift and swap it out once it starts wearing through.
