About this product
The 3M Peltor Hygiene Kit is a replacement set of ear cushions and dampers that brings tired earmuffs back to working condition. Each kit holds one pair of cushions and one pair of dampers, along with the earcup inserts and padding, and it fits Peltor H6 and H9 Series earmuffs. Cushions harden and flatten with sweat, dust and hours of wear, and once the seal goes, so does the attenuation.
Swapping them out is a few minutes' work and saves buying a whole new set of muffs. Handy anywhere hearing protection gets used hard, from construction and heavy engineering to metal processing, cement manufacture and woodworking. The kit is covered by AS/NZS 1270:2002. Keep spares in the crib room so crews can refresh their own muffs as soon as the seals start to go off.
