About this product
The B-Safe Kernmantle Safety Line with Steel Grab is a portable vertical safety line for one person climbing ladders, towers or working on a roof. It runs 10m of 13mm kernmantle rope with a BSM0007 snap hook at one end and a BSM0012 rope grab permanently attached, so there is nothing to lose on site. The whole assembly weighs 5kg. Rope to AS/NZS4142.3.
Set-up takes about 3 to 5 minutes and no special tools are needed to install or tension it. Clip the hook to a suitable anchor, then move the grab up the rope as you climb. It gives limited free fall arrest protection and must be used with a full body harness. Good option where a permanent line is not worth installing.
