About this product
The Beaver Double-Ply Flat Sling 5t x 8m is a polyester webbing sling for general lifting, with a 5t working load limit and a full 8m of length for deep chokes and taller loads. That extra length is what separates this size from the shorter slings in the range. It gives you room to reach down around a big load, or to run a longer basket hitch without pulling the legs too tight.
The webbing is sewn into a continuous length with an eye at each end, so it lies flat and spreads the load across a wide contact area. That cushions the work and helps stop the sling slipping. Polyester has low stretch, which keeps load bounce down when you are hoisting heavy. It is light, easy to fold and it will not mark up dressed or painted surfaces the way chain does.
Common questions
- what is the WLL of a 5t x 8m flat sling
- This sling is rated to a 5t working load limit. Hitch type and angle change the safe load, so rig accordingly.
- what are beaver flat slings made of
- Polyester webbing, sewn into a continuous length with an eye at each end. Double-ply construction gives it two layers through the body.
- flat sling or chain sling for lifting painted steel
- A flat sling is the gentler option. The wide webbing cushions the load and spreads the contact area, so it is less likely to mark or dent a finished surface.
