About this product
The Beaver Double-Ply Flat Sling 5t x 2m is a polyester webbing sling for general lifting where you need to protect the load. It carries a 5t working load limit at 2m long, which suits it to shorter chokes and basket hitches on heavier gear without excess tail hanging around the hook. Polyester webbing is sewn into a continuous length with an eye at each end, so it lies flat and grips.
Flat webbing spreads the load over a wide area, cushioning painted or machined surfaces and cutting down on slipping. The low stretch of the polyester keeps load bounce out of the lift when you are hoisting serious weight. It is light enough to carry up a ladder and flexible enough to pack away in a ute toolbox. Check the webbing for cuts, abrasion and heat damage before every lift.
Common questions
- what is the WLL of the Beaver 5t x 2m flat sling
- The working load limit is 5t. Your rated capacity changes with the hitch you use, so rig it accordingly.
- what are Beaver flat slings made of
- Polyester webbing, sewn into a continuous length with an eye at each end.
- flat sling vs chain sling for lifting machined parts
- A flat sling covers a broad support area and cushions the load, so it is the safer pick on finished or painted surfaces where chain would mark the work.
