About this product
The Beaver Double-Ply Flat Sling 4t x 2m is a polyester webbing sling for general lifting where you need to protect the load. The 2m length suits shorter, tighter picks around plant and structural steel, and the 4t working load limit covers most day to day loads on site. It is made from polyester webbing sewn into a continuous length with an eye at each end.
Flat webbing spreads the load over a broad area, so it cushions the surface and helps stop the sling slipping under tension. Polyester has low stretch, which keeps heavy loads from bouncing as they come off the ground. The sling is light and flexible, easy to throw over a shoulder and quick to rig. Check the webbing for cuts, abrasion and heat damage before every lift.
Common questions
- what is the WLL of a 4t x 2m beaver flat sling
- The working load limit is 4t. The sling is 2m long from eye to eye.
- what are beaver flat slings made from
- Polyester webbing, sewn into a continuous length with an eye at each end. The double-ply construction gives you two layers of webbing.
- will a webbing sling damage the load
- Flat slings spread the lift across a broad contact area, which cushions the load and reduces the chance of slipping. That makes them a good pick for finished or soft surfaces where chain would mark the job.
- why choose a 2m sling over a longer one
- A 2m length keeps the rigging tight and controlled on shorter picks where a longer sling would leave too much slack.
