About this product
The Beaver Double-Ply Flat Sling 2t x 5m is a polyester webbing sling for everyday lifting where you want to protect the load. The 5m length gives you plenty of reach for choking around larger items or getting decent sling angles off a two-leg setup, while the 2t working load limit covers most general site and workshop lifts. Webbing is sewn into a continuous length with an eye at each end.
Flat webbing spreads the load over a broad contact area, so it cushions painted or machined surfaces and helps stop the sling slipping under tension. Polyester has low stretch, which keeps load bounce out of the lift when you are hoisting heavy gear. It is light, easy to fold into a toolbox and quick to rig compared with chain of the same rating.
Common questions
- what is the WLL of the Beaver 2t flat sling
- The working load limit is 2t. Always factor in your rigging configuration and sling angles when working out what you can actually lift.
- what are Beaver flat slings made of
- They are made from polyester webbing, sewn into a continuous length with an eye at each end. Polyester has low stretch, so you avoid load bounce on heavy lifts.
- webbing sling vs chain sling which is better
- A webbing sling like this one is far lighter and more flexible, and the broad flat surface cushions the load instead of marking it. Chain suits rougher, hotter or sharper-edged work.
- what length is the FS-2-2000X5 sling
- It is 5m long, which suits longer reaches, choking around bulky loads or getting better sling angles on multi-leg lifts.
