About this product
The Beaver Double-Ply Flat Sling 1t x 3m is a polyester webbing sling for straight-forward lifts where you don't want to mark the load. It's rated to a 1t working load limit and runs 3m in length, which gives you enough reach for a choke or basket hitch on smaller gear without a heap of slack hanging about. Each end is sewn with an eye, and the webbing is made up into a continuous length.
Flat webbing spreads the load over a broad area, so it cushions the surface and helps stop the sling slipping under tension. Polyester has low stretch, which keeps load bounce out of the lift. Light, flexible and easy to store, this size suits site work, workshops and mine site maintenance crews who need a 1t sling they can throw over a shoulder and carry to the job.
Common questions
- what is the working load limit of the beaver 1t x 3m flat sling
- It has a 1t working load limit. Reduce your capacity to suit the hitch and sling angle you're using.
- what are beaver flat slings made from
- They're made from polyester webbing sewn into a continuous length with an eye at each end. Double-ply construction gives you two layers of that webbing.
- why use a webbing sling instead of chain
- Webbing is far lighter and more flexible to handle, and the wide flat face cushions the load rather than marking it. Polyester also has low stretch, so you don't get load bounce when hoisting.
