About this product
The Beaver Double-Ply Flat Sling 10t x 12m is a polyester webbing sling for lifting heavy loads without marking them up. The 12m length is the one you reach for when you need plenty of reach around a big load, or a long basket hitch with the hook sitting well clear. Working load limit is 10t, so it handles serious weight while still being light enough to sling by hand.
Construction is polyester webbing sewn into a continuous length with an eye at each end. The flat face spreads across a wide area of the load, cushioning it and cutting down on slipping. Polyester also has low stretch, which keeps load bounce out of the lift when you are hoisting near the 10t mark. Flexible, light, and easy to store compared to chain of the same rating.
Common questions
- what is the WLL of a 10t flat sling
- This one is rated to a 10t working load limit. Hitch type and angle change what you can actually lift, so work to your rigging plan.
- what are beaver flat slings made of
- Polyester webbing, sewn into a continuous length with a sewn eye at each end. It is double-ply construction.
- why choose a 12m webbing sling instead of a shorter one
- The 12m length gives you the reach for larger loads and longer basket or choke hitches where a shorter sling would leave the hook too close to the load.
- do flat slings damage the load
- The flat webbing spreads contact over a broad area, which cushions the load and reduces slipping, so it is gentler than chain on finished surfaces.
