The Ergodyne Chill-Its Evaporative Cooling Towel in blue is a neck wrap that keeps crews cool through long shifts in the heat. It is made from super-evaporative PVA, 2mm thick, measuring 33cm x 75cm in a one size fits all cut that drapes around the neck or over the head. The PVA holds more water than most cooling towels and lets it evaporate slowly, so it feels cooler than the surrounding air.
Activation is quick. Run it under water for about a minute until saturated, wring out the excess, then snap or twirl it so it does not drip. It dries stiff between uses, so just re-wet until soft and it works again. UPF 50+ covers the sun side of things, and it is machine washable. Useful on mine sites, construction, landscaping and solar work where heat fatigue is a real risk.
