The Ergodyne 19660 Squids 3190 Tape Measure Tethering Kit keeps a standard tape measure attached to you while you work at height. The kit pairs the Squids 3770 Tape Measure Trap with the Squids 3130S Coiled Cable Lanyard, rated to hold up to 0.9kg / 2lb. The trap fits most standard tape measures from 16ft to 35ft, or 4.9m to 10.7m, so most tapes already in your pouch will suit.
The coiled lanyard pulls back out of the way between measurements, which cuts down on snag and tangle problems around scaffold, steelwork and plant. It is built to ANSI/ISEA 121. Common on construction sites, utilities and telecommunications work, plus wind energy, oil and gas, power generation and railway jobs where anything dropped becomes a real hazard below.
