The Ergodyne 19301 Squids 3001 Retractable Tool Lanyard with Carabiner and Loop Attachments tethers hand tools up to 2lbs / .9kgs so nothing drops from height. It mounts to your belt or a separate anchor point using a manual locking stainless steel carabiner, and the choking loop end wraps onto the tool. The retractable cord pays out to 48in / 122cm and pulls itself back in, which keeps slack off the deck and out of your way.
Inside the ABS thermoplastic housing is a Technora cord, and self-setting pawls let you hold the length you want instead of fighting the tension. A plated swivelling ring gives 360 degree rotation, handy with rotating tools that would otherwise twist the line. The modular connecting buckle suits quick tool swaps with the Squids 3026 Loop Attachments accessory. Built to a 2:1 safety factor and meets ANSI/ISEA 121.
