About this product
The 3M Hot Works Specialty Lanyard is a 2.0 metre single tail shock absorbing lanyard built for hot work, where sparks and slag would chew through standard webbing. The tails are Nomex/Kevlar fibre webbing, flame and heat resistant, with a removable Nomex protective cover over the shock pack. The energy absorber is compact and sits under a clear cover so you can eyeball it before you clip on.
Both ends carry double action trigger snap hooks with self locking gates rated to 16kN, plus a latch protection device on each hook. Steel hardware throughout, fully compatible across the assembly. Rated to 160kg and made for fall arrest, so wear it with an approved full body harness. It is an AS 1891.5:2020 certified product. Welders, boilermakers and anyone cutting or grinding at height will get the most out of it.
