About this product
Donaghys Winchline Rope 26mm is a synthetic winch and recovery line built from ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMwPE) fibre, made for recovery work, towing and pulling or stringing jobs. At 26mm it sits at the heavier end of the range, so it suits bigger recovery setups and logging work where a thinner line would be working too hard. Elongation is low at 4% at break, and the fibre carries a tenacity up to 15 times that of steel rope.
Compared to steel wire rope it is 8 times lighter and 70% stronger, which makes a real difference when you are dragging a 26mm line out across rough ground by hand. The Armorcoat coating gives it high internal and external abrasion resistance, and the rope is non rotational with high UV resistance. It floats and will not soak up water. The pink colour keeps it visible on site.
