Donaghys Winchline Rope 16mm is a synthetic winchline built for vehicle recovery, towing and pulling work where steel wire rope is heavy and awkward to handle. It is braided from UHMwPE fibre, which gives a tenacity up to 15 times that of steel rope and elongation of only 4% at break. Compared with steel wire rope of similar duty, it runs 70% stronger and 8 times lighter, so a single hand can drag out a line and re-spool it without a fight.

The 16mm diameter sits in the heavier end of the range, a good pick when you want more strength in hand without jumping to wire. Donaghys Armorcoat treatment handles internal and external abrasion, and the rope floats rather than soaking up water. It is non rotational, has high UV resistance, and the pink colour makes it easy to spot on the ground. Covers and fittings can be added to suit the job, from logging to stringing lines.
