About this product
The Contego Black/Yellow Golden Eagle Grip Tab Glove in Extra Large is a general handling glove for riggers and trades working with steel, timber, cable and reo. Extra Large suits bigger hands, so the curved fingers and perforated fourchettes sit where they should instead of bunching across the palm. The grip tab closure pulls the wrist in snug, and the wing thumb opens the hand up for pulling and grabbing.
A black neoprene knuckle bar takes the knocks across the back of the hand, and the high abrasion resistance holds up to rope, coupling work and daily site use. Rated EN388:2132. The yellow and black colourway stays visible on a busy deck. Also handy for gardening and landscaping when you want a bit more protection than a plain cotton glove.
Common questions
- what is the EN388 rating on the Golden Eagle glove
- It carries EN388:2132. That is the rating listed for this glove by the supplier.
- what size hand does extra large suit
- Extra Large is the largest of the five sizes in the Golden Eagle Grip Tab range, so it suits bigger hands that find large sizing tight through the fingers and palm.
- are these gloves any good for steel and reo handling
- Yes, steel handling and reo handling are both listed uses, along with timber, cables and coupling work. The neoprene knuckle bar and abrasion resistant build are there for that kind of job.
- do the gloves have a wrist closure
- They use a grip tab closure at the wrist, which lets you adjust the fit rather than relying on a fixed cuff.
