About this product
The Beaver BV100 G100 Lifting Chain 8mm is grade 100 alloy chain for building overhead lifting slings, rated to a 2.5t working load limit in single leg. At 8mm nominal size it sits at the lighter end of the range, with a 27.5mm pitch, 24mm inside width and 8.2mm material thickness, and it runs about 70m per 100kg. That makes it an easy chain to handle when you are making up slings for lighter loads.
Made from hardened and heat-treated alloy steel with a blue painted finish, it holds up well against wear on site. Grade 100 carries 25% more load than grade 80 at the same size, with a 30% weight saving, so crews get capacity without the extra mass. The surface treatment is self-lubricating, so there is no oiling to keep up with. Suits single, 2, 3 and 4 leg sling assemblies. Complies to AS 2321.
