The Scaffold Hook Forg Ubs 23Kn With 16Kn Gate is a large double action steel hook for clipping a lanyard or fall arrest line straight onto scaffold tube, beams and other big anchor points. The 63.5mm gate opening is the point of it. You can get onto a section of tube or a wide structural member without hunting for a smaller anchor, then the double action gate locks itself shut behind you.
Forged steel body with a rated capacity of 25kN, and it carries EN 362 and ANSI Z359.12 markings. It suits scaffolders, riggers and trades working at height on site or on a mine shutdown, where anchors are whatever steel happens to be nearby. Check the gate and locking sleeve close cleanly every time before you clip on, and pull any hook showing deformation, deep gouges or a sticky gate out of service.
