About this product
The Scaffold Hook 55mm Gate Steel is a double action steel connector for clipping a lanyard or fall arrest line onto scaffold tube and larger anchor points. The 55mm gate opening is the reason you reach for it, it swallows sections a standard karabiner will not fit around. Double action means the gate has to be worked in two movements before it opens, so it stays shut when it is knocking around on steel.
Spine strength is 23kN, with a minimum spine breaking strength of 25kN and minimum gate breaking strength of 16kN side and face. Gate strength meets the AS/NZS1891.1 minimum of 1kN face and 1.5kN side. Made by Yoke Industrial Corp, batch tested to AS/NZS1891.1 and certified compliant to AS/NZS1891.1. Check the gate snaps fully closed and the locking action runs free before every use.
