The Aluminum Snap Hook-Blue Mbs 22.2Kn With 16Kn Gate is a double action connector for height safety work, used to join a harness, lanyard or anchor line to an anchor point. It carries a minimum breaking strength of 22.2kN with a 16kN gate rating and a rated capacity of 23kN, so it handles the loads a fall arrest system puts through a connection point.
The body is aluminium with a steel gate, which keeps the weight down on a harness while the wear point stays hard. The 20mm gate opening suits most anchor eyes, D rings and fixed points. Double action means two deliberate movements to open it, so it will not come off a connection on its own. Made to EN 362 and ANSI Z359.12.
