About this product
The NEW Lanyard Wire Sub Assembly C/W BSK0003A-16 Aluminium is a replacement wire sub assembly fitted with a double action captive pin karabiner, used as the connection end of a height safety lanyard. The karabiner body is aluminium, so it keeps weight off the harness without giving up strength at the connection point. The captive pin holds the karabiner in place on the lanyard eye and stops it shifting or cross loading while you work.
Double action means two deliberate movements to open the gate, which cuts out accidental opening if the karabiner knocks against steel or scaffold. The karabiner carries approved standards EN 362 and ANSI Z359.12. Check the gate and locking action before each shift, and look over the wire and pin for wear, distortion or damage. Anything that does not close and lock cleanly comes out of service.
