The Aluminium Equal D Triple Lok Captive Pin Karabiner is a height safety connector for joining lanyards, harnesses and anchor points where you want a light connector that stays put on the attachment point. It carries a 25kN rating along the major axis, with a 25mm gate opening and a 16kN gate strength. The triple action gate needs three separate movements to open, so it will not come undone from a knock or a brush against steel.
Being aluminium, it takes a lot of weight out of the kit compared with a steel karabiner, which matters when a worker is carrying connectors all shift. The captive pin keeps the karabiner aligned on the harness or lanyard eye and stops cross loading. Manufactured to EN 362 and ANSI Z359.12.
