About this product
The Safety Line Poly 5Mt X 11mm is a temporary vertical safety line for climbing structures, giving you something to stay attached to as you move up. It is rope only, 5m long in 11mm poly rope, with a double action hook fitted at one end for connecting to your anchor. Straightforward gear for tower work, steelwork and any climb where a vertical line needs to go up and come back down again.
Because it is a temporary setup, the top attachment point does the heavy lifting. Make sure it suits the job and is rated for it before anyone leaves the ground. Check the rope over before each use and keep an eye on the hook action. The 11mm diameter suits the usual rope grabs used on vertical lines, and the 5m length keeps it manageable on shorter climbs.
Common questions
- how long is the safety line poly 5mt x 11mm
- It is 5m long and made from 11mm rope. That length suits shorter vertical climbs where a full-length line would be overkill.
- does the safety line poly come with a rope grab
- No, it is rope only with a double action hook at one end. You supply your own rope grab and connectors to suit the job.
- what is a vertical safety line used for
- It is set up as a temporary line so a worker stays attached while climbing a structure. The top attachment point must suit the application and be rated accordingly.
