The Donaghys 12 Strand UHMwPE Soft Shackles 50t is the heaviest-duty option in this range, a hand knotted fibre shackle built to connect strops and slings without a scrap of steel. Break load is 58.9t, with a finished diameter of 48mm and an open length of 1.5m. It weighs 1.6kg, so one person can carry and fit it by hand. No tools, no pins to drop in the dirt.
Made from 12 strand UHMwPE winchline, it will not rust or corrode, and the soft body will not chew up paint, guards or other gear it sits against. If it does let go, it will not shatter and throw metal the way a steel shackle can. The adjustable configuration suits recovery work alongside Donaghys' Mongoose Recovery Strop range, and this size is also available with a protective sleeve for harder wearing conditions.
