About this product
The Donaghys 12 Strand UHMwPE Soft Shackle 30t is a hand knotted fibre shackle that replaces metal snap and screw shackles when you're connecting strops or slings to a vehicle. This is the heavy end of the range, rated to a 30.6t break load with a 32mm finished diameter and 1.5m open length, yet it still only weighs 0.76kg. It comes covered, so the sleeve takes the abrasion instead of the load bearing fibre.
Being UHMwPE fibre, it won't rust or corrode, and it won't mark up paintwork, decking or gear it lies against. No pins, no tools, just pass it through and set the loop over the knot. If it ever does let go, there's no steel to shatter and fly. It was designed alongside Donaghys' Mongoose Recovery Strop range, so it pairs up neatly with recovery work.
