About this product
The Donaghys 12 Strand UHMwPE Soft Shackles 250t is the heavy end of the range, a hand knotted fibre shackle used in place of metal snap and screw shackles on big connections. Break load is 260t, with a finished diameter of 112mm and an open length of 2m, so it handles serious strop and sling terminations. At 16.2kg it is still light enough to move and fit by hand, with no tools needed to make the connection.
It is made from 12 strand UHMwPE winchline, so it will not rust or corrode, and being soft it will not chew up paint or surfaces it sits against. If it does let go, there is no metal to shatter or fly. This one comes covered, which helps it last in rough conditions. Designed alongside the Donaghys Mongoose Recovery Strop range for connecting strops and slings to vehicles.
