About this product
The Donaghys 12 Strand UHMwPE Soft Shackles 200t is a hand knotted fibre shackle for connecting strops and slings where a steel bow shackle would be too heavy or too hard on gear. This is the biggest of the range, with a break load of 205.4t, a finished diameter of 96mm and an open length of 2m. At 10.6kg it can still be handled and threaded by hand, no tools, no pins to chase.
Made from 12 strand UHMwPE winchline and supplied covered, so the sleeve takes the abrasion on rough recovery and heavy lift work. The fibre will not rust or corrode, and it stays soft against paintwork, decks and lifting points. If it does let go, it will not shatter or fly like a metal shackle. Designed alongside the Donaghys Mongoose Recovery Strop range.
