About this product
The Donaghys 12 Strand UHMwPE Soft Shackle 150t is a hand knotted fibre shackle that replaces steel bow and snap shackles on heavy connections. This is the largest end of the range, with a 153.4t break load, an 80mm finished diameter and a 1.5m open length, so it suits big strop and sling connections where a metal shackle would be awkward to handle. It comes covered, with a protective sleeve to extend life in rough conditions.
At 7.2kg it is still light enough to sling over a shoulder and fit by hand, no tools, no pins to drop. The UHMwPE fibre will not rust or corrode, and it stays soft against paintwork, deck plate and hull. If it does let go, it will not shatter and throw steel the way a metal shackle can. Designed to work alongside the Donaghys Mongoose Recovery Strop range for vehicle recovery and industrial rigging.
