The Rope Restraint Line 2 Mtr C/W Bsm0007 & Bsm0008 is a fixed length restraint lanyard that keeps a worker back from an unprotected edge. At 2 metres, it sets a working radius on the anchor so you physically cannot reach the fall zone. It arrives assembled with a double action snap hook at one end and a scaffold hook at the other, so there is nothing to piece together on site.
The scaffold hook takes the larger sections and tube you find on scaffolds and structural steel, while the snap hook clips to the harness attachment point. Being a restraint line, it is for preventing a fall rather than arresting one, so anchor it to suit. Check the rope for cuts, abrasion and chemical damage before each use, and look over both hook gates and keepers for smooth, positive action.
