The Friction Descender Bagged Rope 35Mtr is a ready to go rescue kit for lowering a casualty from height, built around a friction descender running on 11mm blue kernmantle rope. The 35m length gives you the reach for elevated work platforms, pole top rescue, towers and overhead or construction cranes. It stays in its bag until you need it, so the rope feeds out clean rather than tangling when someone is already in trouble.
The descender controls the rate of descent through friction on the rope, which keeps the lower steady and predictable under load. Kernmantle construction means a load bearing core inside a protective sheath, so the 11mm rope handles abrasion against steel edges and structures better than a plain laid rope.
