The Boxed Rope Friction Descender 30 metres is a self-contained descent kit for getting a worker down from height under control. The friction descender runs on the rope and lets the operator manage the rate of descent by hand rather than free-falling onto a lanyard. Everything is housed in its own box, so the kit stays clean, coiled and ready to grab when someone needs to come down in a hurry.
The 30 metre rope length suits towers, plant structures, elevated platforms and other spots where a rescue team needs decent reach from the anchor. Keep it stored where the crew can find it and check the rope and hardware before each use, looking for cuts, glazing, grit or damage to the descender body. Any doubt about its condition, take it out of service.
