About this product
The Boxed Rope Friction Descender 15M is a self rescue descent unit for getting one person down from height at a controlled, low speed. It runs on 15m of dry static 11mm kernmantle rope and is rated for a single person, with the option of using a stretcher. Operation is straightforward, so a worker under pressure is not fighting the gear to get moving.
The whole unit sits in a UV resistant plastic box, which keeps the rope and hardware out of the weather between uses and makes it easy to station where it is needed. It meets EN 341/1A or 1B, EN 1496/A and ANSI/ASSE Z359.4. Suits tower, plant and site setups where a rescue plan needs a ready to go descent option rather than something assembled on the day.
