The Rescue Descender Ikar with Handle 30m 140kg Aluminium is a controlled descent and rescue device for getting a worker down from height, or winching them up with the hoisting handle. Rated to 140kg with 30m of rope, it suits tower work, confined space retrieval and roof or structure access where a casualty needs to come down fast and under control. Descent speed sits at roughly 0.9m/sec.
The aluminium body keeps the weight down without giving up corrosion resistance, and it handles moisture, heat and cold. Rope runs smoothly through the unit, and the compact, stable shape makes it easy to rig and store on a rescue kit. Certified to EN 341/1A or 1B, EN 1496/A and ANSI/ASSE Z359.4.
