The Ansell AlphaTec 36cm PVA Chemical Resistant Gloves in red, size 10, are polyvinylalcohol-coated gloves for handling strong organic solvents. Size 10 is the larger fit in the range, so it suits bigger hands or anyone who wants a little more room across the palm. The 36cm length covers the wrist and forearm. The PVA coating stays virtually inert in aromatic and chlorinated solvents, which is where most chemical gloves give up.
Inside is a soft two-piece interlock cotton liner that cushions the hand and soaks up sweat on longer jobs. Pre-curved fingers and a winged thumb keep the hand in a natural position, so grip work is less tiring. Anti-static properties make them useful in printing, chemical preparation and electronics work. They carry EN 388:2003 and EN1149. One warning worth repeating: do not use these gloves in water or water-based solutions.
