The Beaver G80 Eye Self Locking Hook 7-8mm is a self locking lifting hook for Grade 80 chain slings, rated to a 2t working load limit. It suits 7-8mm chain, making it the mid-range size for general rigging and shop crane work where a full size hook is overkill. The self locking latch closes under load, so the hook stays shut without anyone holding it.
Made from heat treated alloy steel, with quality testing carried out through manufacturing and identification marks stamped on the body. Key dimensions are a 133mm overall length, 86mm width, 33mm throat and 25mm hook opening, with a 24mm eye and 11mm pin diameter. At roughly 0.84kg it is easy to handle on a single leg sling.
