The Beaver G80 Eye Shortening Grab Hook 10mm lets you shorten a chain sling leg on the job without changing the whole assembly. Sized for 10mm Grade 80 chain, it carries a working load limit of 3.2t and weighs roughly 0.65kg, so it is a sensible middle-of-the-range pick for general crane and mine site rigging. The eye at the top connects straight to couplers, shackles or a wire rope sling.
Supporting lugs sit either side of the hook throat, holding the chain link square so it does not deform and drop the WLL. Key dimensions are 70mm at b, 80mm at e, a 13.5mm g, with a 20.5mm d1 and 13mm d2. Made from heat treated alloy steel and marked for easy identification. Complies to AS 3776. Not suitable for tip loading, so keep the load in the seat of the hook.
