Beaver G316 Stainless Steel Wire Rope in 7x19 construction, 5mm, is a flexible marine grade rope for corrosive jobs where galvanised wire would rust out. The 5mm size gives an 11.08kN minimum breaking force at roughly 9.5kg per 100m, so it handles light running work and fixed rigging without much weight on the structure. Right hand ordinary lay.
Grade 316 is the marine grade stainless, with better corrosion resistance than G304 in salt water and other harsh conditions. That makes it a fit for boats, coastal installations, waste management and food or pharmaceutical processing. The 7x19 construction is the most common and versatile of the stainless constructions, flexible enough for limited working rope duties such as a boat winch, while still holding up as standing rigging or decorative balustrading.
