The Beaver G1770 Galvanised Wire Rope in 16mm is a 6x36 construction rope with an independent wire rope core, built for general lifting and rigging work where you need flexibility without giving up strength. The 16mm diameter carries a minimum breaking force of 161kN, which puts it in the middle of the range and makes it a common pick for winch lines, slings and crane applications.
Grade 1770 wire gives the rope its strength, and the galvanised finish helps it stand up to moisture on outdoor sites and coastal jobs. Lay is right hand ordinary, so it handles and spools predictably. Approximate mass is 107kg per 100m, worth knowing when you are working out drum capacity or handling. The 6x36 construction means plenty of wires per strand, so the rope stays flexible over sheaves and through blocks.
