The Beaver G2070 Galvanised Wire Rope in 5mm is a flexible 7x19 rope for winch work, tie-downs, guys and general rigging jobs where the rope has to bend and run. At 5mm it sits at the lighter end of the range, with a minimum breaking force of 17.2kN and an approximate mass of 8.6kg/100m, so it handles easily by hand while still pulling its weight.
Construction is 7x19 right hand ordinary lay over a wire core, made from grade 2070 wire with a dry lube galvanised finish for corrosion resistance on outdoor and coastal sites. The higher strand count gives it better flexibility than a coarser construction of the same diameter, which suits drums, sheaves and anywhere the rope cycles. Keep it clean, check for broken wires and kinks, and replace it once the damage shows.
