Wire Rope Stainless 7/19 304G 16mm is a corrosion-resistant rope for jobs where galvanised steel would rust out too quickly. The 7/19 construction gives you seven strands of nineteen wires, so it holds its shape and stays reasonably flexible at this diameter. Grade 304 stainless handles damp, salt air and washdown areas without the surface staining you get from painted or plain steel.
At 16mm it is a heavy rope, better suited to structural and marine work than anything that needs tight bends. Common uses include balustrade and barrier runs, standing rigging, guy lines and general fabrication where the rope stays visible. Match your terminations and fittings to stainless so you do not set up dissimilar metal corrosion at the ends. Check for broken wires, kinks and flat spots before each use.
