Beaver G316 Stainless Steel Wire Rope in 7x7 construction, 2mm, is a fine diameter marine grade cable for fixed rigging work. The 2mm size is the lightest in the range at roughly 1.62kg/100m, with a minimum breaking force of 2.58kN. It runs a right hand ordinary lay and a 7x7 make up, which keeps it fairly stiff rather than flexible.

That stiffness is what makes it suit static jobs, balustrade infill, safety barrier rail and similar runs where the rope is tensioned and left alone. Grade 316 is the marine grade stainless, so it holds up better than G304 in salt water and other harsh corrosive conditions. Common uses include boats, coastal installs, waste management, decorative outdoor work, plus food and pharmaceutical processing. If you need thicker cable for a bigger span or higher loading, step up through the larger diameters in the range.
