The Beaver G316 Stainless Steel Wire Rope in 1x19 4mm is a stiff, non-flexible rope built for fixed straight-line rigging like mast stays, guy ropes and balustrade runs. At 4mm it is the heavier of the two sizes in this range, with a minimum breaking force of 13.05kN and an approximate mass of 8.17kg/100m. Right hand ordinary lay, 19 wires in a single strand.
Grade 316 is marine grade stainless, so it handles salt water and coastal air better than G304. That makes it a sensible pick for boats, jetties, waste management sites and anywhere the weather gets at the steel. The 1x19 construction will not run over sheaves or bend around tight radii, so keep it to straight tensioned runs and use a more flexible construction where movement is involved.
